Privacy Policy

Last updated: 8 July 2026

Privacy is not a setting in EuroOS, it is the starting point. This website follows the same principle: we collect only what you choose to send us, we keep it on our own servers in Europe, we use only privacy-first, cookieless analytics, and we never sell your data or track you across the web.

Who we are

This website (euro-os.eu) and the EuroOS project are operated by GoTrust BV, Morelgem 24B, 9520 Vlierzele, Belgium. For any privacy question or request you can reach us at info@euro-os.eu. GoTrust BV is the data controller for the personal data described below.

What we collect, and why

Information you send us through a form

If you use the contact form or request the whitepaper, we process the details you enter:

We use this only to reply to you, to send you the whitepaper you asked for, and to keep you informed about EuroOS if you agreed to that. The legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. These submissions are stored on our own European mail and application servers. They are not sold, rented or shared with third parties.

Technical logs

Like any web server, ours keeps short-lived technical logs (such as your IP address, the requested page, the time and your browser type) to operate the site securely and diagnose problems. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the service available and secure. These logs are not used to profile or track you and are rotated regularly.

Cookies

We use only functional cookies and local storage, to remember your chosen language and light or dark theme, and to remember that you have seen the cookie notice. These set no third-party advertising cookies and are not used to build a profile of you. You can clear them at any time in your browser settings.

Analytics

To understand how many people visit and which pages are useful, we use Tracera, a privacy-first, cookieless analytics tool hosted in Europe. It sets no cookies, stores no personal data on your device, and does not follow you across other websites. We see only aggregate information such as page views, referrers and rough visitor counts. This is analytics for our own marketing site only, and has nothing to do with the EuroOS operating system, which contains no telemetry at all.

How long we keep your data

We keep form submissions for as long as needed to handle your request and, where you consented, to keep you informed about the project, and no longer than necessary. You can ask us to delete your data at any time. Technical logs are kept only briefly.

Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you have the right to access your data, to correct it, to have it erased, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, email info@euro-os.eu and we will respond promptly. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (dataprotectionauthority.be).

Data outside the EU

Our infrastructure is hosted in Europe. We do not transfer your personal data outside the European Union. If you choose to visit our code on GitHub, that is a separate service with its own privacy policy.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the project grows. The date at the top shows when it last changed. Material changes will be reflected here.

Short version: we only get the data you type into a form, we keep it on our own European servers, we use only functional cookies plus privacy-first cookieless analytics, we never sell your data or track you across the web, and you can ask us to delete everything at info@euro-os.eu.
